Baby Tod played basketball at UK, which brought him to stay around the program and ask Maria’s co-host if she was single, although Maria and Tod had never spoken and wouldn’t until years later. When he found out that she wasn’t single, he apparently responded “Well I’ll be here when he messes up” to Maria’s cohost… Years later they talked for the first time after…

Tod posted a bourbon on his IG stories, and referenced a business meeting. It’s hard to admit but… Maria “slid in those DMs’ and said “I wish all my meetings look like this.” Little did she know their conversation would never end :)

Tod kept the conversation going after Maria posted a story on IG about Starbucks paper straws believe it or not.

It all started with a night at Centro, when Tracy made Maria go out because she said Tod was there. Despite Maria saying “I’m going to like him, I don’t to meet him” when she wanted to be single.

Turns out… Tracy didn’t actually like him after meeting because he was so dang swagy haha.

But Maria went ahead and stole his hat.

Maria booked a shoot in Hawaii right after meeting Tod and was gone for a week.

Even while hiking stunning Volcano - mountains, she was texting Tod non stop. When Jesse later asked if she was talking to Tod, she said… absolutely not, why? :)

Tod asked Maria if she wanted to meet up at Keeneland.

Afterwards they had their first “date” to Drakes

Murphie met Tod for the first time and made up the nickname “1D” which became “Wundy” and his forever nickname from Maria’s family

First cation together - escaping Covid with a road trip to Siesta Key, Florida!

We grew together a lot during this trip. Covid really had a lot to do with them spending lots of time together and leading to where they are today!

Tod drove all the way up to Maria’s shoot a couple hours away just to go to dinner so she didn’t have to stay alone! Maria was GIDDY that he understood her job and simply was willing to travel with her.
